Hi All, as a coda to this thread, someone on the Mondeo mk3 forum has byepassed the AC compressor and connected a stretchy belt from crank pulley to alternator with complete success. (TDCi engine) He gave details of the belt he used, and I checked with my local car spares shop and they can get the belt, costs £30. Ford Mondeo Forum / Ford Fusion Forum. Note - in the OPs avatar, it says "Mondeo Estate TDI" (2004) it is not a TDI, it is a TDCI (a different model/ engine type, with completely different, incompatible injectors, TDCIs are Delphi, TDIs/ TDDIs are Bosch, TDCIs need to be coded, TDDIs do not, TDIs were not produced in 2004 etc, etc, hi there guys just looking for some info on changing the water pump on a mondeo mk3 tdci 130bhp. is it pretty much the same as the ford wiki on the 115bhp engine, as my engine looks abit different. also how easy is it to loosen the tension on the drive belt? garage have quoted me 2 hours labour @£40+vat an hour but if it is not that bad to YcY8G.
